ACORNS CLASS - EYFS
Dear Parents and children of The Acorns class (Nursery & Reception)
Welcome to our class page! On here you can find lots of information related to our class. As we move through the school year you will also be able to take a look at some of our fantastic work as part of our creative curriculum.
You can also find regular updates related to your child's learning and development on your child’s Tapestry page.
We pride ourselves on the positive relationships we make with parents of children in our care. If you would like to ask a question or find out more about your child’s learning and development, please do not hesitate to talk to a member of the EYFS team or leave a message with the main office and we will get back to you.
Thankyou, as always for your support.

YEARLY CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
OUR LEARNING JOURNEY...
ARE MINIBEAST'S SCARY?
As part of our Spring 2 topic we explored the life cycle of a butterfly. Once they emerged from their chrysalis, we investigated them up close in our butterfly tent. The children were filled with awe and wonder!
WHAT DO YOU FIND AT THE SEASIDE?
For Summer 1 EYFS enjoyed exploring what you would find at the seaside. We found out lots about rockpools and creatures you might find in them. To tie in with our class learning we had a trip to St Bees beach to investigate the rockpools for ourselves. We found crabs and starfish as well as lots of different shells. EYFS enjoyed the ice cream too!
WHO CAN I ASK FOR HELP?
For our Summer 2 topic we look at the question 'who can I ask for help'. So far we have had a visit off the Firefighters along with their fire engine and a trip to the post office to link in with the book 'The Jolly Postman'.
