Were the Vikings always victorious and vicious?

 

English Text- Viking Boy- linked knowledge from trip to their writing. They have written character descriptions, settings and their own short narrative flashback story. 

They have looked at what life was like for a Viking, where they came from and why they raided. 

As part of the introduction to the topic and linking with our Learning Challenge Curriculum ethos, Year Six visited 'Moorforge' Viking settlement as their 'Wow' introduction. The purpose of this is to help with prior knowledge and to develop enthusiasm of the new topic. They learnt about Viking longhouses and what life was like, about their weapons and we went on a 'hunting trip' and about their beliefs on religion.
