OUR LEARNING JOURNEY...
Safer Internet Day
Woodlands learned about what personal information is and how to keep it safe on-line. They were 'tricked' into giving out their information to an unfamiliar adult and learned how to use nicknames or usernames instead. We discussed and sorted 'safe' and 'unsafe' places to share information and ended with an internet safety game. They listened carefully and are now internet safety superstars!
After break they went to their classes to learn about social media and the internet.
Woodlands have grown their own pumpkin! Mrs Terler cooked it for us and made it into a soup. We enjoyed our healthy treat after a cold playtime!
The Papaya that Speaks
Woodlands were very brave this morning and tried papaya! We have been learning all about them in our Talk for Writing story 'The Papaya that Speaks'. Luckily, this papaya didn't try to chat to us
Woodlands' Viking Day
Summer 1- Woodlands spent the half term learning about the Vikings!
In the last week of term, we were lucky enough you have a real life Viking come to school.
We crushed barley, made our own butter, tested weapons and watched as a cabbage was destroyed with an axe!
We can ride our bikes!
Some of the students in Woodlands have pulled on their helmets and taken on the challenge to learn to ride a bike! They have shown bravery, determination and a get going attitude... Well Done Woodlands!
Over the last year, we have worked really hard to continue to build and keep the garden looking beautiful and tidy. They have been digging over the plots, planting wild flowers and vegetables, tidying up the plots and creating a bird feeders. Their hard work has paid off and the garden is looking beautiful.
