YEARLY CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

 OUR LEARNING JOURNEY...

Autumn Term- Who lived in Britain first?

The children have loved learning about The Stone Age last half term and are excited to move onto the Bronze Age and Iron Age this half term.

We started our learning journey with a very brave volunteer opening a parcel which was delivered through time from the Stone Age. Inside the parcel was a woolly mammoth and a set of instructions on how to wash him successfully.

We then discovered how Stone Age tools were made using flint and the napping process. The children had a go at creating their own Stone Age spear heads using soap.

Our learning journey in Maths started with understanding and applying their knowledge of place value. We have now moved on to addition and subtraction.

The children have really enjoyed solving mathematical problems with their Kagan partners since entering Year 3.
